ACONCAGUA BASE CAMP TREKKING
The Valle de los Horcones is used for the approach to the normal route, and the lower part is used as an initial approach to the routes on the south face.

ACONCAGUA BASE CAMP TREKKING
El trekking comienza en la Laguna de Horcones hasta llegar a la orilla oeste del Río Horcones que rápidamente cruza a la orilla este a través de un puente y se mantiene el camino de este lado por 8 Km., que es el punto donde el Río Horcones inferior se encuentra con el Río Horcones superior.Plaza de Mulas es el campamento base de la Ruta Normal.
SOUTH BASE CAMP TREKKING ITINERARY
DÍA 1: LLEGADA A MENDOZA
You will be picked up from the Mendoza Airport and transferred to our comfortable hotel located in the heart of Mendoza. This day is planned for you to relax or enjoy the city. In the evening, you will meet with the expedition leader and other expedition members to enjoy dinner at one of the best restaurants in Mendoza, where you can savor typical Argentine meals. (Note: Meals included in the cost are designated as breakfasts, dinners and lunches. Only dinner on this day is included in the cost of the expedition).
DAY 2 MENDOZA - PENITENTES
After breakfast you will be transferred to Trekking Aconcagua to the Permit Office in Mendoza (ascension permits not included); You will then be directed to our comfortable hotel located in Penitentes, 2500m B L D
DAY 3 PENITENTES - CONFLUENCIA
On this day you will be transferred to the entrance of the Park, which is located at an altitude of 2820 meters, where your permit will be requested. Our teams will be loaded on the mules and directed to Confluencia and Plaza de Mulas (Base Camp). From this point the trekking will begin, since we will stop moving in vehicles and we will begin the walk, for 2:30 or 3:30 hours, to our first camp in Confluencia, at 3320 meters high, where the Horcones lower and lower rivers meet. Horcones. Tonight we will camp, BLD.
DAY 4 CONFLUENCIA - PLAZA FRANCIA
Leaving Confluencia we begin the trekking to Plaza Francia 4200m. Our trip lasts about 7 to 8 hours, we ascend the Horcones Glacier as the valley widens and the last remains of the vegetation disappear. During this hike you have spectacular views of the South face of Aconcagua and it rises above us, where we can take photos. We return to the Confluencia camp 3320m. B L D..
DAY 5 - CONFLUENCIA - PLAZA DE MULAS
Leaving Confluencia, we will walk to Plaza de Mulas, our base camp for the expedition, which is located at 4200 meters. This walk will take around 7 or 8 hours. through the Horcones valley, where the last traces of vegetation disappear. B L D.
DÍA 6 - PLAZA DE MULAS
Again, to maximize our chances of acclimatization in the mountains, trekking will be carried out in the surroundings of the B L D field.
DÍA 7 PLAZA DE MULAS - PENITENTES - MENDOZA
We are preparing to remake our Aconcagua Trek equipment to be carried on the mules. Following the route we descend to Puente del Inca. Our descent should take around 3 hours. The mules go ahead with our equipment as we continue the final descent to the park entrance where we are transferred back to the hotel in Punte del Inca while we wait for transportation to the hotel in Mendoza. DAY 8 - MENDOZA
We have breakfast at the hotel and then we take a city tour of the city of Mendoza. Our tour ends with a transfer to the airport, B.
